Comments and Permalinks

Anyone can add comments. Just click on the title of the article you wish to comment on. This brings you to the article’s own page where you will see any existing comments plus the box for adding your own.

This page has a unique web address (URL) which you will see in the address bar at the top of the browser window. It is a permanent link to the page which can be copied for sharing via email or your own website.

Regarding Copyright

Please submit original content and make sure you have permission to use any images you upload to this website.

By law, permission must be obtained from all persons portrayed in photographs before the images are published. Parents or guardians of children portrayed in photographs must first give their consent before images of their children are uploaded. It’s common sense.

You, the Contributor, retain the copyright for your own material. By submitting an article to BirnamAndDunkeld.info (BAD info) you are giving permission for BAD info to publish the article in full on this website (once it’s been reviewed), and to publish a short excerpt on related websites (with links to the full original article on BAD info).

New Contributors

If you’ve never published a blog post before, please don’t be intimidated by the technical stuff. All you have to do is follow the link you were sent by email and Log In using the username and password you were given in the same email. You will find yourself on a web page which is the BAD info Dashboard.

To begin your post, enter a title in the QuickPress box at the top right-hand side of the page, and then start writing in the Content box. Once you’ve written a few sentences, click the button Save Draft. You can now either Preview the post and/or enter full Edit mode. In Edit mode you can continue writing and editing, as well as choosing from the available categories and tags which apply to your article. But you can also leave categories and tags to the Editor, who will review your post and add appropriate tags and categories before publishing the article.

Remember to Save Draft before you Log Out. You can come back to your saved draft at any time and continue editing. Once you are happy with your draft you should Submit for Review and let the Editor do the rest.

Depending on your permissions, you may not be able to upload images directly to this site. If this is the case, please send them (as attachments) to the email address at the foot of this page and we’ll take care of that for you.

Back Links to your own Website

If you already have a website or blog you should enter its URL into your Profile. Once you’ve commented on an article published in BAD info you’ll be rewarded by a back link to your own website.

Spam

Marketers beware. Spam will not be tolerated and may result in your IP address being blacklisted.
